I am so pleased with the response I am getting so far about the school project. I have put it out there to 4 groups so far zaadz, myspace, personal emails, and we have an ad in this months envision for it. So far Zaadz people are in the lead for stepping up to the plate and helping. There are 3 packages on the way right now and many more to come. Thank you all. Even people who do not have money to spare are still showing interest and their well wishes and prayers are just as welcome.

I got this letter from Francis last night and I had to post it (see below). This says it all about why we got involved, and asked others to help.

It has been an eye opening experience for me so far and I know I am going to learn a lot from it. It is hard to imagine just what it is like until you are seeing a situation like this up close in person. Before it was always from afar on the tv screen and it just never quite held the same meaning for me (sad but true until now)

Hi Laurie,  I may have sent you this email already - its late and I'm getting confused - smile.  Thanks for the info on the septic systems - I gave it to Vernon.  We'll be working this weekend - clearing the land and erecting the temporary buildings.  If you all can come, please do!!  Blessings, Francis

We started registration this morning (saturday) at Holy Cross Anglican School and have registered 40 children so far - we are thrilled.  However, with all the joy, there were many difficult moments...the mother who wanted to register her 9 year old son who had never been to school - no birth certificate as they had fled El Salvador.  The father who came at lunch time covered with mud and sweat from construction work.  He had two children to register but not the $30US dollars for the fee.  He asked to pay a dollar a week.

Of course I took them all AND the folks who couldn't afford uniforms ($20US) or books ($20US) AND I said we'd feed all the children lunch at no additional cost because some children live so far from the school AND we'd help provide school supplies and on and on.

God is going to be really busy sending wonderful folks like you to cover all the expenses I'm running up - smile.  You can make your check payable to "Holy Cross Anglican School" and send to my attention to:

Many thanks and blessings, francis

I woke up today knowing it was going to be a blog day. I do not get to it as often as I would like.

I was dreaming about my friend Roy today. We were swimming in a pool (not sure where) then went back to my apartment after, I do not recognize that apt as one I have lived in before. It made me feel good waking up from that dream.

I have been hoping I could have some kind of contact with him. Roy is no longer here, he passed away after we moved to Belize. The funny thing is right around the time he died, I had the urge to get a phone card and call him. It is always hard when people die on you without warning ( my dad went same way).

I know both Roy and my dad would have loved it here on the island, and that makes me think of them often. I just went back and read my blog (May 8,2004) from when my dad passed away that was right around the time I started blogging http://www.envisionyourfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=109&start=0

Why is it we continue to do things to ourselves that we know are clearly not good for us?

I have been really taking notice lately of how I feel in relation to what I am eating or drinking. Often I notice what I am putting in my body does not make me feel the best, yet the trouble is I still keep doing it.Usually when I start noticing this, I know I am gearing up for changes and doing a cleanse. I am thinking to do it in September after we move to our new apartment. I am going to set up a proper meditation space and make it very comfortable for cleansing. I will have my yoga mat by then as well.

Sunny Day

I am sitting here at Island Perk listing to a great 80’s station on Sirius satellite radio, wondering where all my friends are. The English Beat is playing and today could not be any more perfect here on the island. I wish everyone could experience a moment like this.

Recently we found out that our house in Canada is soon to be no longer as our roommates Jerry and Chris are taking the plunge and buying a home of their own. We will have to sort out our affairs there by October.

I believe this is a sign that we need to let that go and really just be here. I have been asking on my flow dreaming ( www.flowdreaming.com ) for more $ to pay down bills and this news came along very soon after I started doing that, less rent will make a big difference. It is amazing how fast things can come when you are open to anything and not putting limitations on how  and when.

We move to our new apartment in less than a month. That is very exciting  and getting more so daily. I have been planning out decorating (watching hgtv pays off lol)

We are moving right next door so this will be my # 1 easiest move. The apartment is still a 1 bedroom, but the layout is different. It is slightly bigger and has 2 extra windows so tons of light and better cross breeze.

Part of why I am so excited about it is that I feel being there is going to be a big positive shift for us. The apartment is in south west  area of building. Our bed will face magnetic north (we do now too) and my meditation space will be in s/w corner. I have a floor plan drawn up and feng shui map. Next comes selecting the exact colors. I am thinking sage green in living room wheat in bedroom and have to decide on bathrooms still but not much to paint in there as it is mostly tiled. It will be nice that we can paint it first then move all our stuff in after. Also handy that it will take us no time at all to walk everything next door. Life is grand.

What a fabulous day, so many good things happening.

Had a latte frappucino at island perk with hand done whipped cream how yummy is that. Then off to greenhouse and big tree for a few groceries.

The Caribbean Sea was just spectacular walking back home. I feel so lucky to be here every time I see the color of the water it makes me happy. God sure did a great job painting this part of the world in so many ways.

A while later I decided to go for walk number 2 and head off to the other end of our street about (15 min away) to go to Castillo’s hardware, Ritchie’s, and San Pedro super market. I ran into Sheri from pauly's pizza at Castillo’s and we talked about picking paint colurs and how the selection was no home depot lol. I got a wooden towel bar for our new apt cause we are leaving the ones we put up here for the next person.

Then I scored large at San Pedro Supermarket and found sun dried tomato pesto and frozen brussel sprouts how cool is that. When I was done at Ritchie’s and started walking home and who do I see but Sheri (timing is everything lol) She asked where I was going and told me to hop in her cart as our apt is right around the corner from Pauly's. She said she was glad she ran into me because she found out from her friend after I left Castillo’s that you can take any item to them for a color scan and they will make a paint color from it. That opens up a new whole world of choices.

Incubus is playing how true this line... What ever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes

Mike  you got it. I will go over there and deliver your information to them. How cool you found this blog and it all spiraled from there lol. I love it when stuff like this happens. Hope to meet you onday over a latte frappucino ha ha.
